7aam Arivu : Yet another very good attempt in Tamil cinema, but missed out the pace of the screenplay and can be categorized into documentary genre.

This is my first experience to watch any movie at a time of around 1:30 A.M First day First Show premiere in a theater. I was thrilled and excited. Why I have to? It could be a regular flick having  a usual ingredients but the ingredients’ are more scientific influential.

Why this film is much hyped? How will the movie would be? How Surya is performed? Will the much hyped movie get all along success? With so many question I entered into theater and came out with a answer of Big ‘NO’. The movie was not up to the grade mark of either surya’s or a.r.murugadoss previous film especially in screenplay department. This movie doesn’t  worth for a 1:30 A.M First day First show ShowTime rather its worth enough to spend a time in leisure manner to recollect the pages of Indian history on world perspective. The movie can be watchable only once.

7aam Arivu is a Tamil science-fiction movie which documented the biography of the person called Bodhidharman  who is a pallava king goes to China from Kanchipuram, India and becomes as a Buddhist Monk, helping the people in China with his extra-ordinary skills.

This movie is about genetic engineering to bring back the ability and capability of our ancestors to our DNA using Genetic memory research. The research scientist role is played by Shruti Haasan who don’t need a introduction who she is. We can see Kamalhaasan’s face through her in many scenes. She is pretty enough though.

May be the film can be a successful one if the promotions of the film may restricted to the threshold limit which may be considerably reduce the hype to the nominal effect.

The first 20 minutes of the film is caught in the frame as a documentary mode for the life history of Bodhidharman  and also it’s a new attempt in Tamil Cinema. These type of introduction to the story can be available only in a Hollywood flick. The introduction scene is just seems like one of the Hollywood movie dubbed in Tamil language.

This attempt stands out from the regular cinema formula in India. This attempt is really commendable and appreciable.

Johnny Tri Nguyen

Surya’s underplayed his role and he just acted merely like a director’s actor in spite of his value in the cine market.  The real performance value is gained by Shruthi and the Vietnam actor Johnny. Shruthi character is well framed and helps to travel the story but moving with a slow pace.  Johnny’s character is the only promising character and meets the expected value. Surya’ has no scope in this movie but he is tremendous in making himself down to help in documenting the life history of Bodhidharman ’s and contributing to the world. He is stunning in Bodhidharman’s cast.

Even the director says he has done under enough research for this movie but many facts are literally in false mood and results in a bad show off.

The worst part of the movie, may be the pulse which drives the movie from the Good state to bad state is the Music and the background score. Harris Jayaraj “A factory of Shit and crap music” who has no diversity in copying all genre of music available in the world. The background score is not at his best for a story like this.

7aam Arivu holds a good story and excellent plot to excel but missed the awful chance to produce the entertaining thriller movie. I came across many mixed type of reviews from the internet but my choice would be this movie can be watchable only once in order to appreciate the endeavor of the new beginning in Indian Cinema.

These type of movie don’t need a song sequence and bullshitting love scenes & romantic songs. These market value ingredients’ should be avoided in a film taken for a pride. The international audiences can amazed with this movie for our traditional life as we do so with their movies.

Trivia: 7aam Arivu is going to be remade in Hindi with Aamir khan and Shruthihasan in a lead role. Sure, the story gets a another chance to correct its mistake and achieve its pace in Hindi version. Link here.

On the way to SriKalahasti - The Temple dedicated to Raagu-Kethu Parihara

The main intention and motivation to write this post is not to be personal instead to make awareness about the procedure for Raagu-kethu Pooja at SriKalahasti.

SriKalahasti temple is located 36 km away from Tirupathi in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradhesh, India. The inner temple is constructed around 5th century and the outer temple was constructed in the 12th Century.

I’m also the one as like you who had suffered with a damn prediction by the astrologer and the sequence of bad action lead me to explore the new world consists of signs and omens. Anyway I’m glad that I was exposed to feel the God internally in much better manner.

It is ideal and myth to halt in any divine place for at least one day to inhale the atmosphere of self belief in the form of God. We started from Chennai around 3:00 PM and travelled more than 3 hours to reach SriKalahasti. Once you reached Kalahasthi, I’m damn sure you will be confused by the dozens of people staring their own way of story and procedure to proceed. An auto rickshaw driver will develop a big story whereas Teishu(The person who prepares tea for business) will showcase an interesting thriller story. By the way, we are impressed with the auto rickshaw kaarar and preceded with him.

SriKalahasti is not only a historical devotional place but also a place of lodges. Every auto rickshaw driver has connection with some lodges. Be careful in selecting the lodge as per your budget. The rent is varying from 200 to 1500 INR. We checked in to Rs.500 rent single cot room with Television set. But we may get the same type of room even for 200 to 300 in other lodges. Best suggestion is to check the rent price with other lodges and try to negotiate with them.

The main cause to check in Sudha Residency is the story we are informed with. The story begins as they will explain all the procedures in sevas and poojas in temple and just replicate the verbatim of the notice board.  They may amaze you by saying they will arrange a guide who is directly from the temple and will get all the poojas material for Raagu-kethu and will lead us to the mandapam without waiting and wasting time in the queue, and the best part is these services is provided with free of cost. The family who is coming for the first time may easily fall for this type of offer but the fact is these can be achieved by own and it’s a normal procedure.

Next day, early morning. The room boy will try to become dressers and will try to sell the dhotis, He even say that dhotis is mandatory to be worned for poojas otherwise you won’t be allowed. It’s completely false. Don’t waste money and don’t believe his words.

Then comes a guide to show the way to the temple, I mean only the way- one left and one right, here the temple comes. He will bring it to the shop nearby the entrance of the temple and will try to sell three lamps each costs Rs.40 and flowers and some specific special flowers for Lord Siva. All together he will produce a bill of Rs.200 and will say even these are supposed to brought for a Pooja. Since we are going for a first time, not sure with the procedure and brought it. The guide brought us to the nearby neem tree and showed us Lord Vinayaga, Lord Raagu and Lord Kethu. We lighted the lamps there and moved towards to queue. After 2 minutes, our lamps were wiped out from the place by the house keeping peoples and came to know that these are not mandatory for Pooja.

Kethu

The guide shows the queue and his job was finished, asked for Rs.60 for his valuable service. Thank god we didn’t have a change on that time. The Coupon for doing Raagu-Kethu Pooja costs around Rs.300.

The Bag consists of

1. The sculpted idol of Raagu and Kethu made up by Silver. Five headed Snake represents Raagu and single headed snake represents Kethu.
2. Two cloths, one is in red color and another in black color.
3. Two cereals bag, one is in red colored cereals and another black colored cereals.
4. Two lemons.
5. Three fresh coconuts.
6. A bag of kunkumam and Turmeric powder.

All the above was consolidated into one big bag and selling for Rs.300. One bag can be shared by husband and wife, and for others, individual coupon is must.

Raagu

Adjacent to the counter, there comes the business magnets’ sitting in an order, trying to sell the flowers even blackmailing. Even if you say we brought enough flowers from outside, they would blackmail you that you will be sent back from the pooja to bring these flowers. Here we felt fear and just moved up with the procedure. Anyway this is our first time experience and there is no harm in learning. Each cost Rs. 40 and at the round we spent Rs.120 here. Then we entered into the mandapam allocated for this Pooja.

They will start the Pooja only if the mandapam gets filled up. At last, there comes the instructor to spell the divine word on behalf of us and starts the Pooja.

Here one man will appear all of the sudden and help us in arranging our elements in front of us. Be carefull he is not doing this for social service. He will ask for money for this.

Here goes the instruction how should we get prepared for this Pooja.

1. Take the black and red cloth from the bag and fold it into four layers.
2. Place the black cloth towards the God’s side. You will be sitting in a two lane way and respectively place the black cloth.
3. Cereals should be unpacked and spread the black and red cereals in black and red cloth respectively.
4. Place the Raagu and Kethu statue in Black and Red cloth respectively
5. Five headed Snake = Raagu in Black cloth
6. Single headed Snake = Kethu in Red Cloth
7. Separate the lotus and other flowers in to pieces in order to place each one during each mantra.
8. Then get the bag of kunkumam and Turmeric powder and mix it together.
9. Then get the coconut broken and place it in a way it facing towards the idols.
10. The instructor will ask for Rs.31 (Minimum) or above (our wish) to place it in the middle of Raagu-Kethu.  Then they will come and collect it.
11. Then follow the instruction of the instructor, it’s so simple.

At last you will complete the Pooja and ask us to collect the two idols. These idols should be put into Hundiyal after the screening of Lord Shiva.

The best part of SriKalahasti is Lord Shiva is made up of Sarvam in Sanskrit and Tamil (Snakes). Hence it’s a traditional place for worshiping the stars in the universe.

I thought this post will be helpful for the person who is going for the first time to SriKalahasti and keeps them handy in performing the Pooja which leads to avoid unnecessary costs.

Oceans Trilogy - Eleven - Twelve - Thirteen

Just had a bunch of curious to know how the much awaited film of Ajith’s Mangatha evince the audience which is considered to be an adopted or inspired whatever the word from the Hollywood’s blockbuster Ocean series.

As a result, drives me to watch the Ocean trilogy in a single day. The Ocean series starts from the first part which is Ocean 11. Ocean 11 is an American thriller and thievery type of story consists of 11 intelligent thieves who are engaged in robbing the vault which contains 150 million dollars from 3 main casinos’ in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This movie will provide you a virtual tour to Las Vegas, one of the best places in the earth. This city holds all the famous casinos and targeted as best shopping spot.

This movie has a full of thrill and suspense. If we are not travelling with same velocity along with the movie, surely we might miss the flow and the plot. The rob type of story is always a special and we have a multiple ways to show case our intelligence in tailing from one scene to another. With No doubt, Ocean 11 satisfies this.

Ocean 11 starring George Clooney as Danny Ocean, Brad Pitt as Rusty Ryan, Matt Damon as Linus Caldwell directed by Steven Soderbergh. This movie will represent as lusciousness for many filmmakers. There is no surprise if the film will be an inspiration for upcoming movies on robbery, we will surprise only if it is not copied yet. Brad Pitt who is always a stylish actor always eating some junk food in every scene reminded me the Prabhu character in the Movie Billa. The every scene has its own unique suspense and we are able to notice the acting skill of all the actors which are very beautiful to see. The Background score is just awesome. It increases the intensity level to the peak.

Las Vegas, Nevada

Many scenes were infused in Tamil cinema and we are the witnesses. I don’t want to mention the story board here as it leads to spoiler and recommend to experience by you yourself.

The drawbacks for the movies were you may feel bore and felt asleep at the initial stage and the story was not clearly screen played. The first part in all the three parts was diluted a bit but as scene moves between Clooney and Brad, it was very classy to see them both.

Trivia: Waiting for Mangatha, the tamil version of Ocean’s Eleven (which is considered as rumors) and let’s wait and watch whether we will appreciate or ditch.

How Recession starts, Uncle SAM is in Deep trouble

A majestic bungalow in the center of the city, the husband and wife are being paid with more than 1 lakh as a salary per month. The outsiders look at them and vexed because of their luxury and peaceful life. But the real fact is they borrowed huge debt from the bank based upon their creditworthiness and have to pay back money that they borrow. The obligor borrowed most of the debt in the form of loan from all the banks for the construction. 

A wonderful pretty BMW parks at the entrance makes the passers eye to roll wide. A huge debt was taken for the car indeed at background. The low class people are better in debt than the high class people.

This company acts as a credit-rating agency (CRA) which issues the credit rating for the Government, the public and private corporations. Moreover this organization has been designated as a nationally recognized statistical rating organization by the U.S. They maintain a record and act as a general body to provide financial advices to the countries. Today Standard & Poor’s strives to provide investors who want to make better informed investment decisions with market intelligence in the form of credit ratings, indices, investment research and risk evaluations and solutions. 

S&P suggest countries whether will it be safe to invest or/and lent a loan to the obligator by credit system.  They provide an intelligence data about the market based upon the creditworthiness of the country, how much debt the country hold. This information really helps other countries to lend a loan to them. 

On August 5, S&P issues the updated credit rating for USA. United States of America’s Long-Term credit rating has been lowered to 'AA+' from AAA based on Political Risks and Rising Debt burden. These changes in USA credit rating cause’s huge earthquake in the global market. Many nations stock market value faced huge drop-off. So many investors had withdrawn their investments from the US bond and starts investing on other nations bond and Gold. This action made a piece of gold to reach its high ceiling price neither the before.

America decided to pass over this recession by taking some cost-cutting measures inside their own country. They decided to cost-cut the unnecessary money flow which will affects the employment in US. It will also affect the nations who are dealing in export trades with America. 

America’s IT outsourcing of more than 60% has given to India. This type of global meltdown raises panic in India’s Information Technology sector. IT field will survive for time being as long as the project is outsourced to India, so the impact would be at later times. There are possibilities if America goes with a full swing of cost-cutting.

At present, United States of America stands 1st in global market and defense. If the situation continues as it is happening now, surely within 10 to 12 years, the giant China will take over the 1st place and US will be in huge debt to China.

Experts forecasting, by 2050 America will suffer a lot by disease of recession and their market value will go beyond below of India market.

August 15 – One Day Patriotism

British had ruled every part of the world and their behavior leads to the formation and structure of history.  There are 196 countries in the world and almost every country has an independence day to celebrate. This independence is not from any aliens or any extra terrestrial creatures apart from the planet earth, we are celebrating the independence which we attained from same Genesis of species who are mere Humans.

Alright, we got independence from the humans which are in different races and cases, what next? We are being patriotic and celebrate the independence every year without fail. Showing the value of life and credibility of nation through our Independence Day celebration.

Why we are feeling so patriotic for one day. Before one week of the auspicious day, there was an event schedule in Facebook stating that “Wave the tricolor flag on August 15”. All your profile pictures will change to the tricolor flag and posting the comments. After the day, we are back to our routine life and worried about nation in fact more for the facebook status about the nation’s problem.

Real independence is not a one attained between the same species; but it’s all about the unity in love between different species. We are fighting across geographical areas and hurting other organism and intruding in their freedom and celebrate ours.

Stop being patriotic for one day, don’t represent as a nation instead be a representative for the whole mankind.  Good patriotic can be blossomed by following your rule of love every day.  

Our ancestors framed a list of rules and regulations which is not even 100% perfection though. Anyway we are provided with something and do follow everyday makes us to feel the celebration of Independence Day every day.

After all, we, Human’s life are ended up with a rectangle paper called money which goes beyond our love, respect for other races and species, even you lose yourself.

Celebrate Independence Day, When you runs a good government, when you wash away the corrupted people, when you pull the poverty percentage to almost below 5%, when your people feels good because of your action and last but not least Be responsible for your Nation.

SuperHeavy - Convergence of Different Musical Styles

SuperHeavy is a rock band consisting of Mick Jagger, Dave Stewart, Joss Stone, Damian Marley, and our one and only A. R. Rahman. The band's formation was announced on 20 May 2011.

Jagger said of the band, "We wanted a convergence of different musical styles... We were always overlapping styles, but they were nevertheless separate".

The Rock band consists of talented persons who are Mozart on their own percussion style. 

The Album was first experimented at a studio in Los Angeles, for the song "write songs which had meaning". The success begins and receives positive reviews from the world of Music.


Jagger says: "We entered with just ideas, a few guitar riffs and a few snippets of lyrics... It wasn't my usual style of working, but the music evolved quickly." The band recorded 29 songs in 10 days.


The Album consists of some 16 to 17 songs overall and first 8 songs were previewed at at Los Angeles's Jim Henson Studios on 30 June 2011.

அறியாதவயது காதல்

சனிக்கிழமை மாலை நான்கு மணி PVR Cinemas இல் படம் பார்க்க நண்பர்களோடு சென்றேன். படம் என்னவோ மொக்கை தான் இருந்தாலும் நண்பன் கூப்டானு போனேன். 

ஒரு வழியா படம் முடிந்து தியேட்டர் விட்டு வெளியே வந்தோம். அங்கு மூன்றாவது மாடியில் food Court. சரி சாப்பிட சென்றோம். பாமிலி கூட்டத்தை விட காதலர்கள் கூடமே அதிகம். நாங்கள் போனதோ நண்பர்களின் கூட்டம். பார்க்க கொஞ்சம் காண்டா தன இருந்தது. ஒரு நல்ல இடம் பார்த்து உட்கார்ந்தோம். 

அப்பொழுது தான் அந்த நிகழ்வு. ஒரு ஜோடி கிட்ட தட்ட சின்ன பசங்க பன்னிரெண்டாம் வகுப்பு தான் படிப்பார்கள். ஒவ்வொருகொருவர் கை பிடித்து உட்கார்ந்து இருந்தனர். 

சரி சாப்பிட்டு விட்டு கிளம்பினோம் அவர்களை கடந்து, அப்பொழுது தான் கேட்டது அந்த வார்த்தைகள். 

பையன் அந்த பெண்ணின் கையை பிடித்து இந்த உலகம் இப்படியே நின்னுட எப்படி இருக்கும். 

அதை கேட்டு நாங்கள் செத்துட்டோம் சிரித்தே. நீங்கள் கேட்கலாம் இவனுக்கு ஒன்னு செட் ஆகல அதுனால தான் இப்டி சொல்றனு. அது உண்மை தான். ஆனால் இன்னுமா இந்த மாதிரி டயலாக் விட்டு கடலை போடுறாங்க. காதலை தவறான வயதில் தவறாக புரிந்து கொள்வது காதலையே தவறாகிறது.


நான் இன்றும் என்னக்குள் சிரித்து கொள்வேன் அந்த நிகழ்வை நினைத்து.. :)

Anna Centenary Library - Chennai

World-class Library here in Chennai..

Just had a thought to consolidate the information about the Anna Centenary Library which is considered as Largest library in the South Asia. Even though I hate DMK Government for their family government rule, I do appreciate them as one in the million for making this project. Anna receives more and more monuments because of Kalaignar's. I doubt it wont be happen to him himself.

Atlast We have Cogent Evidence to prove that Hollywood copied us

On Wednesday 20th July, a friend of mine has forwarded an email regarding a conspiracy on the origin of the movie “AVATAR”. 

I got interested and just set up a mood to look what so spicy about the one of the best movie which really amazed me. The email was started with serious note. As the trivia flows to the end makes me to Rolling on the Floor Laughing My Ass off (ROTFLMAO).

We have been witnessing consistently that ideas and thought are being copied from the foreign movies. Not that all the movies have been copied but something around 10% of overall film has shades of foreign resemblance. 

But this email makes me real dumb and don’t know how to console myself. What a strange comparison and how one could think of. Okay.. No more Suspense. Here we go..

AVATAR - A REMAKE OF VIETNAM COLONY

When I was watching Avatar for the ‘n’th time, a strange thought came to my mind, 'Is this film not similar to Vietnam colony?'

And remember Vietnam colony released in 1994 and James Cameroon said that the Avatar script was ready in 1995 and he also said that Avatar had many inspirations from India including the title (Something fishy).

So let’s compare the two stories side by side:

Vietnam Colony: Prabhu and Koundamani are appointed by a real estate company to a notorious colony called Vietnam colony as this colony has high real estate values.

Avatar: Sam Worthington is appointed by the RDA Corporation to go to Pandora as the place has a valuable mineral called unabtomium.

Vietnam Colony: Prabhu disguises himself as a writer and becomes a member of the colony.

Avatar: Sam disguises himself as a Navi and becomes a member of Pandora.

Vietnam Colony: Prabhu falls in love with the heroine (Jujilipa) who is a resident of Vietnam colony.

Avatar: Sam falls in love with Saldana who is a resident of Pandora

Vietnam Colony: While Prabhu was trying to cheat the colony residents and throw them out of the colony, he understands that the company is doing injustice and tries to help the residents

Avatar: While Sam was trying to cheat the Pandora residents, he understands that the company is doing injustice and tries to help the residents.

Vietnam Colony: Prabhu finally joins hands with the colony residents and fights against his company.

Avatar: Sam joins hands with the Navis and fights against his company.

Vietnam colony: At the end of the movie Prabhu becomes a Vietnam colony resident.

Avatar: At the end, Sam becomes a Pandaro resident.

Aren’t the 2 movies similar…?

Even some scenes had similarities. Remember the scene where the auto driver gets afraid of the rowdy (Ravuthar) but Prabhu thinks that the auto driver is afraid of him. There is a similar scene in Avatar (first half) where a small beast gets afraid of a bigger one but Sam things that the beast is afraid of him.

There seems to be only one difference between the two movies. One made with more than 1000 crores, another with less than a crore!!  

ச்சே ச்சே! கடைசில போயும் போய் “Ravuthar” சீன் காபி அடிச்சுட்டாங்களே பா !!!!!

Shor In The City

Shor In The City, one of the best movies in Hindi film industry. Multiple story plot will always makes its mark in all the way. 

The story starts with 5 different casts and their life style in Mumbai city. The transformation from one character to another charter and the sequence of getting their own karma back is really a pleasant to watch. 

Best part of the movie is the pace. The pace of the movie was held right from the beginning and everyone in the film is in search of something. As like Hollywood, Bollywood also has a separate division as casting director and it’s good to know that they are succeeded. Every cast lives in their character.

There are no obstacles in the screenplay and no hindrance in its travel by unwanted songs. Sendhil Ramamurthy, an US based NRI shines in his character and his character shows how society turns a good one to bad or even ugly. But he shines to eminence and receives our applause. 

The movie is mixed with comedy and dark face of terror. The music plays a vital part in holding the sensation throughout the film. 

To be honest, I am not interested in watching Hindi movies often other than Aamir’s production. The world can address India in many ways but the most probable way is definitely through Bollywood. Two things are most famous in India, one is Cricket and another one is Bollywood. 

Bollywood cinemas will follow a particular formula if one of the films turns up with good profit. For example, if a smuggler type of story succeeds, we can expect the same type of story followed by. But I could say, there are some couple of good movies was released recent times in Bollywood which impresses me a lot.  A shor in the city is one of them. It insists in Karma is a Bitch.

Deiva Thirumagal, a perfect classy film which will make you wipes your eyes.

Deiva Thirumagal presents itself as a much awaited movie of 2011 for people to know whether the movie will bag a best performance in all sides or it is better than the original version Hollywood flick “I am Sam”. 

If you haven’t watched I am Sam before, then this film would be a impressing film for the Tamil audience. But if you do, then you may be ended up with disappointment like I do.The saddest part is there are no due credit given to the original version and many of the scenes are looted as it looks like in the previous.

The remaking job is not as easy as it needs a special effort to sculpt your mind with other’s chisel. There is no sin in bringing a master piece to every set of audience nevertheless in what language the film is.

AL Vijay did a good job in presenting a story with almost major alteration in the 2^nd half screenplay to do reflect as the story is occurring between Krishna and Nila.

Chiyaan Vikram proves again as an ace actor by representing himself as mentally disable person with the behavior of 6 years old kid.There are few scenes where the screen will get blur until your hands wipes off your tears. We will get a felling of crying only if we travels along with the character, no doubt Chiyaan will make us to travel. 

The classy part is the conversation between the Vikram and a cute girl Baby Sarah which will melts your heart. The Baby girl is so elegant and did better than Dakota fanning in English version.Before Intermission, either Vikram performance or Anushka’ one, I was literally visualized to Sean Penn & Michelle Pfeiffer respectively.  After the interval, Chiyaan stands off and instructs this is my film.One of the plus factors to the film is GV Prakash’s music as it turns minus too for his repetitive copy cat. Overall, it was a good attempt in presenting the Hollywood film in the smell of Kollywood at almost. 

Trivia: I am Sam part was unofficially remade in Bollywood in the name of Main Aisa Hi Hoon. When comparing with this Deiva Thirumagal is far better with some changes.
